Something new I learned today was that low-income students only make up 3% of America’s most selective colleges and that was shocking to me. I found it surprising because there’s so much talk about minorities getting many opportunities or advantages because people understand how already disadvantaged they are and yet the number is so small. I feel like it is significant in having this knowledge especially as a high school student so that it doesn't surprise you once you get into the real world.
